We at Unicorn Simulations are delighted to announce the renewal of CPD accreditation for our simulation workshops for 2021.
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is one of the oldest and most respected professional bodies in the world, and they continue to set high standard of professionalism for the insurance and financial planning industry in the UK and around the globe.
A key part of the CII mission is supporting and helping future professionals with development and enhancement for their career in the insurance sector. They set standards that are globally recognised, and the CPD scheme enables members to be credited for the hours they dedicate to their professional development.
For us at Unicorn, the discipline of maintaining our CII CPD certification for all of our simulation events, both face to face, and increasingly delivered on line post-Covid, is an important part of our quality control and policy of continual improvement.

These programmes are reviewed annually to keep their accreditation status up to date.”
We are strong believers in the power of action learning. Our aim is to make learning a memorable, challenging and enjoyable experience. The simulation events involve participants cooperating in small groups to plan and run business operations, making plans, decisions and forecasts and reflecting on their results as the simulation unfolds. This process encourages rich learning through the dialogue and interaction between the delegates and tutors alike.
Our partnerships with some of the finest trainers in the insurance sector is also key to the success of our training events. Samantha Ridgewell of Empower Development has an exceptional reputation in the London market where she offers our simulations, while InuRE run by the experienced reinsurance expert Gabriel Manoughian leads the simulation events in the Asia Pacific region.
CPD accreditation from CII has provided us with professional credibility in new markets too such as in the Middle East.
While most of us will be delighted to see the end of 2020, it has been a productive year for us at Unicorn Simulations. We have been able to convert our face to face events to run remotely, using cloud-based technology to enable us to collect and analyse team performance at a distance. While there are unique benefits from running face to face workshops, there is no doubt that 2020 has brought long term changes to the way we work and communicate, and we are looking forward to running ever more on-line CII accredited simulations in 2021.
